The missions of museums are to gather, preserve, and inventory heritage objects and to make them known to the public and to researchers. The Collection of Art Brut includes nearly 70,000 works, of which 700 are featured in the permanent exhibition. The permanent and temporary exhibitions it organizes fulfill this informational role, but they are not sufficient, because the public has access to only a limited percentage of the works.
The Muséris database allows you to view the works of the Art Brut Collection that are not on display. It also provides access to other collections from Lausanne cultural institutions.
You will thus have access to descriptive records sometimes accompanied by an illustration, a sound excerpt, or a video.
